Credential Coordinator - Credentialing Verification

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Credential Coordinator. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of medical staff applications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Manage the entire credentialing process for all medical staff applicants, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Collect, verify, and process all required documentation, including applications, licenses, certifications, and references.
Conduct primary source verification of credentials and track the status of all applications.
Prepare and maintain accurate and complete credentialing files.
Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, including the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the Joint Commission.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the credentialing database.
Generate reports and analyze data related to credentialing activities.
Assist with the development and implementation of credentialing policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with applicants, medical staff, and other departments.
Respond to inquiries and provide timely updates on the status of applications.
Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Minimum of two years Medical Staff experience. Including credentialing functions in either a hospital or managed care environment.
Strong computer and information management skills required.
Microsoft Word; Access and other Medical Staff Software preferred.
CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) or CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management) preferred.
Pay Range
$26.39 - $38.27 /hour
