Remote attorney opportunity with a firm in Los Angeles!

An established, nearly 20-year law firm specializing in ERISA, pensions, and bad faith is seeking an associate attorney for its expanding team.

Associate Attorney Responsibilities:

• Looking for someone with pension and bad faith experience.

• Law and motion work, non-templated writing experience.

• Organized – there is lots of work in the pension department, so the person needs to be able to come in, stay ahead of deadlines, and help exude calm.

• This person should also be able to work closely with other attorneys. This person will work closely with the two attorneys and will coordinate with outside counsel from other states on pension cases nationwide.

• Discovery, including some depositions.

• Court appearances.

• Pleadings.

• Communicating with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel.

• Working cases to trial. Second chair opportunities are possible if a person shows aptitude and interest.

• Lots of cases are outside of CA, so there may be light travel.

• NO BILLABLE HOUR REQUIREMENT!

Compensation, Benefits, Other Perks:

• Salary up to 175,000.

• Bonuses depending on firm performance.

• Medical, dental, and vision are covered for the employee for a silver PPO plan, they can buy up too and add dependents. and kick in 1st of month after 30 days of employment.

• Short-term & long-term disability, life insurance.

• Reasonable use PTO.

• 401k after 1 year, 3% contribution

  Requirements

• 5+ years of civil litigation experience, exposure to ERISA, pension, and bad faith.

• Strong writing experience with non-templated, complex law and motion.

• Licensed by the CA Bar.
