Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor located in Northridge, California. The primary function of this role is to supervise the day-to-day operations of various accounting functions within the organization. The successful candidate will work within the Accounting & Finance Department, ensuring the maintenance and training of accounting software systems, as well as managing other key financial tasks. The position is initially on site through training (1-2 months) then 3-4 days work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising daily operations of the Accounting & Finance Department

• Overseeing the maintenance and training of accounting software systems

• Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

• Ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of payroll

• Overseeing fixed asset maintenance and financial reporting

• Assisting in the development and implementation of long-range financial plans

• Ensuring accounting systems, processes, and procedures are in place and followed by all members of the Accounting Department

• Developing training documentation and programs to improve staff efficiency and streamline processes

• Assisting in the creation or revision of internal accounting corporate policies and maintaining existing policies

• Ensuring financial security by establishing internal controls

• Managing month-end and year-end accounting closings

• Troubleshooting all technical issues related to accounting software systems.

Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Capable of managing all Accounting Functions

• Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in conducting Auditing

• Ability to manage Billing Functions

• Proficiency in Month End Close and Year End Closings

• Skill in Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge of General Ledger operations

• Experience in Budgeting and Budgeting - Forecasting

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting.
