Stanley Black and Decker Truck Driver 2nd Shift 1pm - 9pm + Overtime in Northlake, Texas

Position Summary:

Operate the yard truck spotter safely and unload/load material to supply all packaging areas with the proper parts to complete customer orders.

Major Responsibilities:

With minimal supervision must be able to:

  • Supply all pack areas with the proper parts to complete customer orders.

  • Become trained for pallet truck, fork truck, and scale use.

  • Read, understand and identify product from packing lists provided in numeric and/or written format with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Accurately enter the received products in SAP using RF technology.

  • Move product to proper storage location

  • Assist in maintaining standard work procedures.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly storage area for all inventory according to 6S guidelines.

  • Pick packaging items from storage and deliver to the appropriate packaging line in a timely manner.

  • Expedite materials to facilitate more urgent packaging requirements.

  • Store materials and parts in semi-trailers and high bay racks in a safe and orderly manner so that goods can be located easily.

  • Work mandatory overtime as needed. Adjust working hours and area of focus when needed.

  • Assist in maintaining finished good inventory when necessary.

  • Report status of the area (safety issues, maintenance issues, inventory errors) to Supervisor daily.

  • Abide by all safety and housekeeping rules and regulations.

  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks.

  • Acts as backup for shipping and receiving or other manufacturing areas

  • All other duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Current CDL A Driver’s License

  • Clean MVR and good CSA

  • Organizational and communication skills

  • Able to be certified in the operation of a forklift (sit down and stand up) and hand truck, current certification desired

  • Able to read, write, and understand both written and oral instructions

  • Must be able to clearly communicate using the English language.

  • Ability to perform basic math functions.

  • Accurately record daily production information.

  • Must be able to regularly lift 35 lbs.

  • Must be able to work and stand for up to 12 hours per shift

  • Prior manufacturing experience a plus.

Physical Demands:

Must be capable of sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods of time. Required to work in a physical environment that is subject to limited temperature extremes. Exposure to general manufacturing environment
