Farmer Brothers Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Northlake, Illinois
As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk at Farmer Brothers, you play a pivotal role in the efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of orders, preparing shipment documents, and verifying the quality and quantity of goods received. You will collaborate closely with our team to maintain high standards of accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Properly document and prepare product and information ensuring accuracy and timely shipment.
Expedite and promptly resolve order discrepancies, shipment delays, missing documentation, shipment instruction and/or any unresolved shipment issues.
Maintain all shipments, comply with company procedures and work instructions; assembling, packing, addressing, stamping, documentation, carrier routing/
scheduling, tracking, customer authorizations.
Expedite tracking and shipping inquiries and provide feedback in a timely manner.
Recommend new strategies for more efficient and/or cost effective processes within department.
Responsible for updating Torrance Metrics and cases pulled per hour report.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of warehouse experience.
JDE Proficient preferred.
At least one year Computer experience with Microsoft Office and the Internet.
Previous experience using RF Gun (DSI system preferred).
Personal & Professional Skillsets
Good analytical, follow through and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks and meet strict deadlines.
Desire to support other team members and contribute to the team.
Willing to fully supports and stand behind team decisions.
Able to addresses issues or problems as soon as they arise.
