UL, LLC S&A Software Sales Manager in Northbrook, Illinois

This role is 100% remote and requires extensive travel. Candidate can reside anywhere in US.

Leads and controls the activities of one or more sales teams. Has overall responsibility for the successful sale of UL Solution’s products or services across one of more sales teams. Develops and executes long-term divisional strategy to achieve key business objectives.

  • Achieve top line (Software & Advisory (S&A) revenue targets within assigned territory or business

  • Drive the sale of high profit solutions within the enterprise account base

  • Execute land and expand strategy to increase UL Solutions market penetration

  • Provide Customer Insights that will help develop new offering creation and its deployment and bundling of solutions.

  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets and customer segments in coordination with each business leader.

  • Focus on customer satisfaction, account growth, and expansion of services provided by S&A and sustaining customer loyalty for a group of new and key customers.

  • Execute go-to-market strategy in alignment with the commercial organization design principles.

  • Collaborate with each Business Leader on account & sales coverage options to achieve S&A growth objectives, as well as the marketing organization on portfolio strategy.

  • Set strategy for partnership with Tier II and Tier III regions

  • Develops, communicates, and manages the successful performance of enterprise accounts revenue goals.

  • Understands and effectively leverages customer, industry, and internal sales information to drive performance and sustain a competitive edge.

  • Leads client engagement by developing and managing relationships at the C-Suite and middle management level for large customers.

  • Directs the development and execution of client engagement plans that detail business goals and strategies which deliver customer solutions.

  • Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.

  • Sets and meets specific quarterly or annual sales goals. Establishes processes and systems to monitor and report progress to the CEO, senior team, and board

  • The target annual pay range for this position is $140,000 - $185,000K which includes a base salary of $70,000-92,500 and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 100% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance.

  • University Degree (Equivalent to bachelor’s degree) in Business Administration or a related discipline

  • 8+ years of experience in sales with prior sales force management experience

  • MBA is preferred.

  • 8+ years of general global management experience in dynamic manufacturing, investors, banking or engineering sectors, and similar technology-based industries and services.

  • Experienced executive in Software, Consulting, Digital, and Technical business are desired.

  • Strong technical and business/economic foundation, including formal account planning, sales strategy development, sales tracking, portfolio selling, and measurement.

  • Ability to interact with customers throughout all levels of their organization which include highly visible activities such as negotiating, presenting, and selling.

  • Requires a focused individual that has a clear vision and can think strategically.

  • Ability to work and lead in a matrixed organizational structure.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Digital / tech-savvy.

  • Business and Financial acumen.
