Position SummaryAs a Clinical Operations Advisor, you will be in a client facing role accountable for the design of the client formulary and utilization management programs in partnership the Health Plan Clinical Advisor, Benefit Relationship Manager, and Formulary Administration. You will collaborate with HP Clinical Advisor to understand the client’s clinical strategy and roadmap to create a clinical operations plan.

The Clinical Operations Advisor works with the Benefit Relationship Manager and client to facilitate gathering formulary and utilization management requirements and designs the drug level set up for projects on the operations plan while ensuring compliance to internal best practice and federal and state guidelines. This includes:o Completing the clinical data analysis to design anoptimal formulary and utilization managemento Collaborating with the Benefit Relationship Manager andFormulary Administration to clarify client clinicalrequirements to design and develop formulary andutilization management editso Reviewing and obtaining approval from client on thedesign of formulary and utilization managemento Consulting and influencing the client on standard andcustom formulary options and utilization management editso Reviewing identified defects during testing and helping toresolve these defects, including consulting with the clientto re-define and clarify the clinical requirementso Collaborating with internal partners to developautomation strategies and perform user acceptance testingas requiredo Ensuring timely delivery of formulary and utilizationmanagement edits, including reviewing the test results withthe cliento Meeting and/or exceeding CVSH yearly goals, includingmeeting and/or exceeding client service levels forturnaround times and accuracyo Consulting with clients and developing a trustedconsultative partnership that drives up client satisfactionThe Clinical Operations Advisor designs the clinical setups using Caremark technology solutions and supports thecoding teams in the loading of clinical data into theadjudication system (RxClaims). The Clinical Operations Advisor partners with clinical team members to documentclinical design best practices, provide inputs to streamlineprocesses, and identify opportunities to improve theefficiency and accuracy of clinical set ups.The Clinical Operational Advisor supports internal andclient audits of clinical set ups within adjudication systems,which includes verifying the client approved requirementsand design.The Clinical Operations Advisor should be able to managemultiple HP clients across multiple lines of businessincluding Medicare, Medicaid, Exchange, and Commercial.

Required Qualifications• Active pharmacist license that is in good standing in state of residence

• 3+ years Pharmacist experience in the managed care (PBM) space• Proven knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Exchange, and or Commercial and industry trends in a managed care setting• RxClaim experience• 1+ years exp Microsoft applications - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access, Teams

Proven Ability To:• Ability to analyze large volume of clinical data andorganize this data for downstream teams such asconfiguration and testing teams• Attention to detail to ensure data fidelity and data integrityis well understood including the business rules for datatransformation• Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize, and resolvecomplex problems.• Effectively work independently without daily supervision• Impact and influence others• Drive results and deliver on goals and commitments• Facilitate cross functional communication andcollaboration

This is a hybrid model role, based out of our Irving, TX, Scottsdale, AZ, Northbrook, IL, or Woonsocket, RI office locations.

Preferred Qualifications• Experience supporting Pharmacy Benefit Management(PBM) clients or within a health plan• Experience in all market segments (Medicare, Medicaid,Exchange and Commercial)• Expertise in Utilization Management, FormularyManagement and Clinical Products• Experience implementing template and/or customizedclinical programs• Knowledge of PBM adjudication engine and othersystems leveraged in support of clients• Proven leadership skills• Commitment to client service and relationship building• CVS internal reporting and analytic tools for clientmanagement or industry equivalentEducation

PharmD or BS in PharmacyActive Registered Pharmacist license in good standing in state of residence

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$97,500.00 - $220,500.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
