The Role:

Provision of second line support of mission critical applications, ensuring that priorities are adhered to in accordance with company standards and protocols, producing hot fixes and housekeeping and support tools.

Support the current production environments including participating in the out of hours 24/7 on call rota

You will be a member of a multi-discipline cross-functional scrum team, supporting the application design, projects and providing Technical consultancy across the team’s portfolio of work for both in-house and third party developed products.

Control and implementation of the delivery of changes and fixes to the environment.

Support the management of Disaster Recovery plan for area of expertise, ensuring regular testing of capacity, management of risk areas and cohesion with corporate plans.

Develops effective relationships with key suppliers to facilitate the process of raising defects and obtaining 3rd level support for the systems.

You will ensure there is traceability from business requirements to acceptance criteria from the start of the programme and they are demonstrable.

In conjunction with Service Management, work with members to field enquiries and research solutions, specifying required maintenance and enhancements to aid supplier investigation into enhancements and problem resolution

Ensures supporting documentation and artefacts are developed and maintained

DAPS role experience required:

SQL and PL/SQL, JAVA Runtime environment, Java Containers (Tomcat, IIS)

Windows and Unix (Solaris) O/S, Demonstrable client/server knowledge and Kubernetes.

Desirable skills:

Oracle DBA, JAVA Coding, Unix Administration, EFT real-time processing, Proxy Server, web servers and network architecture

Duties will include:

Driving innovation in production support, looking for improvements and seeking opportunities to leverage new technologies and tools for greater efficiency.

Collaborate with various stakeholders and your scrum team to devise the appropriate implementation approach.

Contribute to the design & development of the overall production support strategy and vision, including the tools and technologies needed to support the strategy.

Key contributor & to be part of an effective team.

Work with iterative deployments, as part of a scrum team.

The position would suit somebody with the following skills:

• Excellent communication, time management & organisation skills.

• Highly adept at problem-solving.

• Someone with a team ethos and a passion for Agile methodologies.

• Proven experience in functional and non-functional deployments

• Experience within the financial services sector within a related field

• Understanding of Vocalink and experience in ATM Services business and systems. Knowledge of Computer • Programming languages or Web technologies

• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop new tools and processes

• Knowledge of change and release methodologies

• Understanding of ITIL disciplines
