We seek a highly motivated Director of Project Management Office (PMO) to lead our Project Management Office. The Director of PMO will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects, aligning them with our strategic goals and customer expectations. You will have a track record in project management, leadership, and a deep understanding of technology-driven industries.- Provide strategic direction and oversight to the PMO team, aligning project initiatives with the company's objectives- Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Review action plans to identify and mitigate risks- Manage and prioritize the project portfolio, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and projects are delivered on time and within budget- Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and cross-functional collaboration- Act as a liaison between the PMO, executive leadership, and project stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports - Actively manage projects end to end (from budget and schedule definition to final customer delivery) on a per need basis to preserve output of the office- Ensure quality of all project documentation such as requirements, design, and test specificationsPosition Requirements- Significant experience in project management, preferably in a technology or engineering organization, with relevant experience in a leadership role- Experience managing complex engineering projects involving hardware and software- Excellent working knowledge of common software tools such as Microsoft Office: MS Project and MS Excel. PWA, Arena and Power BI would be a plus- Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills- Positive, can-do attitude, with strong engagement skills and ability to influence positive outcomes- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and adapt to changing requirementsEducation:- BS or MS in Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or similar disciplines- PMP, PgMP or similar project management certification is highly desirablePhysical Requirements:- Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.- Ability to use vison to read computer screen and read printed materials- Travel less than 20%Compensation and Benefits- The base pay for this position ranges from $121,236 to $166,699 depending on the geographic market.- Dependent on the position offered, annual bonusses and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the compensation package.- Novanta supports all aspects of your life's needs.
