Opportunity Overview

The Teradyne Product Support Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven engineering student to join the Product Support Team in an intern or co-op role.

Product Support Engineers aim to provide world class support to the current and future generations of Teradyne Integrated Systems Test Products. The Product Support Engineer role is a dynamic and challenging opportunity that spans an array of engineering disciplines. This individual will report directly to the IST Product Support Engineering Manager.

This role is based at our North Reading, MA headquarters and requires on-site presence.

We are looking for a full-time commitment for 4-6 months starting in January 2025.

  • Assist with installation and integration of new equipment to discover installation issues and best practices (design for installation)

  • Assist with servicing and maintaining equipment in the engineering lab, including performing preventative maintenance (which will lead to developing a preventative maintenance plan)

  • Work with all engineering disciplines during DV

  • Work as part of the new product integration team by:

  • Participating in new product team meetings

  • Work with design engineering on serviceability issues (Design for Serviceability)

  • Assist with Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) strategy

  • Work with the engineering (HW and SW) and the field team on escalations

  • Work with documentation team to develop and support new and existing procedures

  • Working on a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electromechanical Engineering preferred

  • Must be self-motivated, team oriented, and hands-on

  • Eagerness to assist in troubleshooting complex issues

  • Ability to work with limited supervision and with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communications
