We are seeking an experienced quality engineer to join our team. You will report to the Quality, Safety & Mission Assurance Manager and perform quality-engineering activities in support of meeting program requirements.

You may be involved with supporting various activities associated with the organization’s AS9100D-certified Quality Management System (QMS) processes including, but not limited to, customer satisfaction, internal audits, nonconformity control and corrective action, improvement initiatives, and product assurance.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Reviews and approves drawing packages

• Acts as a witness for acceptance tests

• Interprets contractual requirements

• Coordinates specifications for the purchase of goods and services

• Performs final inspections on deliverable hardware

• Prepares end-item data package documentation

• Identifies and implements process improvements

• Leads efforts to address and resolve nonconforming product issues

• Coordinates, processes, and dispositions of nonconforming products and anomalies

• Reviews engineering drawings

• Interfaces with Design, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering to improve design and procedures

• Interfaces with subcontractors and customers to resolve quality problems

• Performs manufacturing inspections to ensure quality

• Performs audits on internal and subcontractor procedures

• Creates and reviews customer and subcontract deliverables

  Required Qualifications:

• BS in a physical science, engineering, and/or business operation field

• At least 5+ years of quality assurance/engineering experience

• Knowledge of the ISO9001 or AS9100D Quality System Standards

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to work well independently or on a team

• Ability to facilitate and promote use of problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action

• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance

  Preferred Qualifications:

• Quality Assurance experience in a research and development environment, aerospace and defense, and/or comparable industry

• Use of statistical analysis techniques

• Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one

• Quality certifications such as CQT, CQE, CQA, CSQE, etc.
