Description

Robert Half is partnering with an established but growing organization located in the Las Vegas area in their search for a motivated Staff Accountant looking for the next step in their career.

In this role, you will:

• Prepare and post journal entries in the general ledger.

• Reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts.

• Assist in preparing financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements).

• Gather and provide data for internal and external financial reports.

• Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Analyze and review financial data to resolve discrepancies.

• Support financial analysis activities, including cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Identify financial trends and recommend strategies to enhance performance.

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

• Provide documentation and explanations for audits.

• Maintain organized and confidential accounting records.

• Identify and propose process improvements.

• Serve as backup support for various accounting roles.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Proficient in accounting software and tools; advanced skills in MS Excel required.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record maintenance.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address accounting discrepancies.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with team members and other departments.
