Summary Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for our North Kingstown RI location. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern works closely with the manufacturing engineering team to execute tasks that directly contribute to the manufacturing, assembly and calibration of Coordinate Measuring Machines. Job Responsibilities Develops and writes work instructions, sequence of operations as well as time estimates for each operation specification. Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities that positively affect safety, the environment, quality, reliability, and productivity or improve the overall suitability and effectiveness of the management system, its processes, and products. Analyzes existing assembly methods and proposes new methods to improve cost, reliability and quality of products and processes. Improves and/or designs new assembly fixtures. Aids in the development and integration of new technologies into our processes. Qualifications Must be enrolled in a Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Program, in good academic standing. Must have a minimum of two years enrollment in said program. Must be proficient in MS Office Must be proficient in process writing, documentation. Must be proficient in SolidWorks or NX Ability to work Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week during the summer break.
