Position Summary:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Receive units from the field.

  • Research history to assign warranty responsibility.

  • Perform visual inspection.

  • Interpret customer repair orders

  • Input all pertinent information into the SAP system.

    · Track and report the status of all returned units.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, qualifications, competencies, abilities and any physical demands if required.

    · Have the ability to lift, handle, open and discard boxes and crates up to 50 pounds.

    · Have the ability to comprehend complex internal and external data.

    · Generate customer rework orders with detailed information in accordance with FAA and customer requirements.

    · Determine warranty issues using logic and mechanical background.

    · Handle correspondence with customers through email, facsimile or telephone.

    · Interface with contract administrators to comply with applicable international and military regulations.

    · Provide statistical reports including graphs or charts reflecting trends as required by the Repair Station Manager.

    · Possess the ability to analyze data.

    · Possess excellent customer service skills in order to effectively resolve customer issues.

    Education, Experiences, Certificates/Licenses and/or Registrations:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.

    · High School or equivalent.

    · Minimum of 12thgrade reading comprehension.

    · Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

    Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods and stand to perform work. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull or move up to fifty (50) pounds or more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

    1. Occasionally required to lift up to 30 lbs.

    2. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.

    3. Safety glasses, shop coat/apron, proper shoes.

    4. Occasional exposure to shop element such as noise, dust, odors and fumes.

      Typical Materials, Tools and Equipment Used:

    Materials worked on: Ferrous and non-ferrous metals in various forms; bar, tube, plate, casings, forgings, etc.

    Tools used: Machinist’s hand tools, depth, dial and plug gages, and precision measuring instruments as precision blocks, sine plate, micrometers, calipers, indicators, dial bores and air gaging equipment, hand tools, etc.

    Equipment used: NC and conventional machines, attachments and all related accessories.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $32.81/hr.- $35.36/hr.

This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders], or have refugee or asylee status).
