Job Description
AbbVie’s EPIC team is responsible for building and deploying scalable in-house generative AI applications to boost productivity and accelerate scientific innovation. As a Technical Product Portfolio Manager for the EPIC team, you will be responsible for organizing, planning and communicating the work of a portfolio of products built by talented teams of developers. Your role will involve coordinating dependencies between working product managers, scheduling meetings, monitoring progress and setting deadlines. Moreover, you will be a key communicator to stakeholders, helping to create clear reports on progress and update materials for stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Coordinate multiple product teams roadmaps ensuring alignment with overarching program and portfolio goals and timelines
Work with multiple product owners and different business areas to track milestones and share integrated timelines, leading to enhanced project visibility, efficient resource allocation, and smoother execution of EPIC initiatives
Help coordinate workstream resource utilization metrics and optimization
Schedule and facilitate meetings, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as well as strategic stakeholder sessions
Monitor product workstream progress, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and proactively escalate and/or address them
Assist in drafting stakeholder friendly updates and communications
Engage with stakeholders and leverage feedback to prioritize the individual workstream efforts
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 7 years of experience, Master's with 6 years of experience, or PhD with 2 years of experience with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
2+ years experience in product management
Knowledge of agile development best practices
Technical writing experience is a plus
Proficient in project management in Jira and similar tools
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
