Job Description

The Finance Manager position leads consolidation efforts for the R&D HQ finance team. The responsibility encompasses consolidation activities for monthly LBEs, Plan, and LRP and supports the Assistant Controller, R&D, and the Director, R&D FP&A. This position also works closely with R&D functional Finance Directors and the R&D Actuals team. The position develops financial planning and analytical skills, as well as presentation skills, and the individual will engage regularly with leadership team members. The Finance Manager will work closely to provide support for specific initiatives across the R&D finance team as well.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leads the R&D monthly LBE cycle by preparing the guidance, utilizing the systems (BPC and Workiva), preparing LBE decks, and submitting to Corporate

  • Very involved in the R&D Plan and LRP cycles by helping to prepare the guidance, utilizing BPC, creating/preparing schedules for the Plan/LRP Books, and submitting to Corporate

  • Operates independently to prepare schedules and relevant analysis for each planning cycle and for specific initiatives for the R&D Assistant Controller and FP&A Director

  • Works closely with R&D Finance Directors and their respective teams regarding financial cycle guidance, consolidation activities, systems questions, and ad-hoc requests

  • Leads ad hoc analyses, projects and process improvements as needed

  • Leverages planning systems effectively (BPC, Workiva, and Power BI) and looks for improvement opportunities within these systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus.

  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive and related experience.

  • Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with all levels of management and including the ability to listen well and to influence others that do not report directly.

  • Proficient Excel skills.

  • Knowledge of SAP, BPC, and Power BI a plus

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. Salary: $103,500 - $197,000
