Job Description
The Data Platform and Reporting Associate Director will oversee the development, implementation, and management of data-driven insights and reporting processes. This role involves strategic planning, execution, and management of the data platform and analytics capabilities to support business goals, ensure operational efficiency, and protect organizational data.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing leadership in establishing and driving the long-term strategy for managing the data platform.
Ensuring data quality and providing insights for the creation of Finance reporting.
Additionally, the Associate Director will play a critical role in building a data management framework. This includes standardizing data processes throughout the organization and bridging the needs and priorities of the business and IT departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Platform Responsibilities
Designing databases: Designing every aspect of a database, including data models, layouts, and architectures
Identifying needs: Identifying business needs and data opportunities, and determining the requirements for new data assets
Implementing data flows: Implementing ETL (Extract, Transfer, and Load) data flows and data pipelines
Maintaining databases: Auditing databases regularly to maintain quality, and creating systems to keep data secure
Collaborating with teams: Coordinating with other team members to reach project milestones and deadlines, and collaborating with business leaders
Identifying areas for improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in current systems, and proactively identifying potential areas for innovation and improvement
Presenting design reports: Publishing and/or presenting design reports
Reporting Responsibilities
Financial reporting: Direct preparation of standardized templates for financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Analysis: Provide guidance on analyzing financial data and developing reports and dashboards to support decision making
Budgeting: Direct development of budgets and forecasts templates
Reporting: Direct preparation of routine and ad-hoc reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Financial controls: Supporting the implementation of financial controls across the division
Process development: Developing processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Training: Preparing and presenting training on financial/accounting topics as it relates to data quality
Audit support: Preparing audit requests, technical accounting assessments, and audit tracker reports
Policy review: Supporting the preparation and review of corporate accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.
Excellent communication skills to effectively translate sophisticated concepts into easily understandable language
Good interpersonal skills to lead groups and negotiate and build consensus regarding future goals
The ability to conceptualize holistic architecture solutions that address the needs of an organization as a whole
The ability to manage and facilitate technological change
A solid understanding of existing and emerging data technologies
In-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of good systems design
Innovative thinking to devise solutions that address the gap between business needs and technological constraints
Experience with SAP Suite products, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
