Description

SAIC is seeking a FSR Engineering Technician for our customer site in North Charleston, SC .

Candidate will perform duties as a Field Service Rep (FSR) / Engineering Technician deploying CONUS and OCONUS as a SME in support of USAF JLTV Tactical Vehicle C4ISR. Based in Charleston, SC, the position will travel minimum 75% with flexibility to travel up to 100% if desired by candidate.

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading all C4ISR systems and equipment on all tactical vehicles in the area assigned; candidate will perform routine maintenance checks. FSR’s may perform alternate equipment custodian duties as well as receiving Mission Support Equipment (MSE) shipments, conducting inventory, operational checks as well as tagging, packaging, storing and onward shipment of MSE. The FSR may be tasked to utilize the USAF Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) to record all repair and fault analysis.

Individual should be able to work alone after training in Charleston. Must have a current or be able to obtain a US Passport and Real ID.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Associate’s degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or other formal electronics training from Technical School OR Class A military school in electronics or communications, OR four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Will accept experience in lieu of a degree.

• Three (3) years of practical experience to include laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance.

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. Active clearance preferred.

Desired Experience:

• Prior experience with DoD C4ISR systems and equipment as a operator or a technician for installation and integration into Tactical Vehicles.
