Eastern Staffing and Recruiting is recruiting forContract Data Entry Specialistfor our client in the North Charleston, SC area! We are looking for an extremely motivated, professional, and reliable employee that is looking for an opportunity to work with a growing organization. This position is responsible for assisting the accounting department with data entry, processing, recording transactions, and assisting with audits.

This is a first shift, contract position with a growing company that could turn into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into various computer systems and databases accurately and efficiently.
• Verify the accuracy of data before entering it into the system.
• Organize and maintain files and records of data entry activities.
• Retrieve and transcribe information from source documents as needed.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accuracy of data entry.
• Assist with data collection and analysis as required.
• Follow established procedures for data entry and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Associates degree preferred, High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office- Word, Excel and Outlook; QuickBooks)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude as well as be highly adaptable.
• Experience with data entry
• Highly organized, accurate, and attention to detail
• The ability to handle a high work volume.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Exceptional time management, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

The estimated hourly range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00, though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
