JBT Corporation Receiving and Inventory Supervisor in North Carolina, United States

Overview ... The Receiving and Inventory Supervisor is responsible for supervising the processes and personnel associated with the receipt, inventory accuracy management, internal parts movement, and storing of all stock materials, special orders, and retail products arriving at the facility and shipping out to customers. Main Tasks and Responsibilities This position is responsible for the supervision and support of all activities in the parts room: Receiving and shipping of all inventory and MRO parts. Allocating parts to production and sales orders. Movement of parts to assembly, shop, Product Development, Test Kitchen, and storage locations. Ensures that all supplier paperwork accurately matches as it relates to items, quantities, and condition. Confirms that all materials listed were physically received and properly tagged. Ensure all material is stored/staged in an organized fashion, to set up the next process. Records all purchase order and stock transfer information accurately into the system in a timely fashion. Communicates back to the purchasing group any discrepancies in purchase orders vs. materials received. Communicates with Customer Service team any discrepancies in orders shipping to customers. Processes all RMA’s in a timely manner and makes sure all paperwork is completed and documented. Plans and executes internal training programs to maintain and improve personnel competence. Coaches, trains, and develops receivers to be friendly, efficient, and accurate in their work. Partners with operations staff to support production scheduling on all material issues required to meet production schedules and customer part requirements. Plans and schedules tasks over short and long range and assigns priorities to team members for completion. Addresses personnel issues directly and in a timely manner. Determines best method of packaging, crating, or boxing for shipment. Ensures all established ISO work instructions are always followed. Participates in ISO audits as requested. Assists in yearly physical inventory counts and/or cycle counting as required. Qualifications Assists in yearly physical inventory counts and/or cycle counting as required. High School degree or the equivalent. Associates degree preferred. 2 years of experience working in a shipping area or parts inventory department. 3 years of experience in a supervisor or management role. 2 years of experience working with computerized shipping and receiving program, transportation procedures and terminology, and freight bills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good attention to detail and organization. Performance Expectations Completes all tasks for each day before end of day: Receipts for all delivered items and enters them correctly into ERP system. Delivers all parts to designated departments, work orders, sales orders, or correct stocking locations. Reports any receiving issues to purchasing department at time of receipt. Decision Making Skills: Effectively coordinates and manages areas of responsibility, with minimal management direction, in such a manner that maintains steady production and ensures customer orders are shipped on time. Leadership Management Skills: Manages direct reports with little, to no input from management team and understands when the circumstances dictate the need for elevating to a higher level. This includes handling HR related issues (where appropriate) and conflict resolution. Communication Skills: Effectively communicates across all channels throughout the organization and supports Tipper Tie’s RCI process and initiatives beyond departmental “boundaries”. Takes a leadership and change agent role in RCI. Enables culture change by using and teaching tools and disciplines and ensures they become a part of daily work and processes. Utilize RCI tools (6S, 8 Wastes etc.) and RCI House to incorporate into daily work and processes. Identify, recite, and explain the One JBT Vision.
