Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will utilize automation technology to fill, package, and ship prescriptions. You will package and prepare all orders as assigned, and will need the ability to pack, pull, and bin pharmacy orders. You may also perform clerical duties relating to the department, help maintain inventory, and receive and store incoming supplies. On a day-to-day basis, you will receive an assignment for your area and primarily help with backlog to catch up on orders. You will first be trained on the most basic automation, including QC/QA, single dose packaging, and using pre-packaged machines. After initial training, you will be cross-trained in different areas such as unit dosing, liquids, and ointments. There are six areas to be trained in, and it takes about six months to have a full understanding of the pharmacy.

This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in North Canton, Ohio.

Work Environment

Long-term care closed door pharmacy. 2nd shift: 2:00 pm – close; Training 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (2 weeks); every other Saturday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm ($3 shift differential). 2nd shift leaves when all orders from that day are completed to be sent out. 3rd shift: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am ($2 shift differential). 3rd shift works on orders put in after the cut-off to start on the next day.
