Job Title: Order Entry Specialist

Job Description

  • An order entry specialist is responsible for the entry of all customer orders upon receipt of their PO through to the shipment of an order, should any questions or follow-up occur during that time.

  • This role will be working with both external customers and internal employees, such as sales team members and operations, as it pertains specifically to order entry.

  • Interactions will be purposeful as it pertains to the accuracy of order information to ensure the customer’s safety solution requirements can be manufactured as requested.

  • Order entry accuracy.

  • Represent the person in a positive and professional manner through written & verbal communications.

  • Ensure delivery of excellent customer service through timely and accurate processing of orders.

  • Accurately evaluate and process orders through ERP system.

  • Gather and organize all pertinent documentation required for order record.

  • Assist in answering/managing customer support call flow.

  • Support sales team with customer needs such as order information, customer follow ups, quality issues, and all processes & procedures required.

  • Work cross functionally with accounting and operations to follow customer support best practices.

  • Perform individual work and assist other team members as needed.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Hard Skills

  • High School Diploma

  • Excellent and precise data entry skills

  • Previous experience in customer service and or a support role in which internal or external customers were the priority

Soft Skills

  • Professional communication skills

  • Ability to work as a team as well as independently

  • Ability to tactfully manage stressful and difficult situations

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Recognize and understand when and how to handle confidential information

  • Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy

Job Type

This is a contract to hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in North Canton, Ohio.
