Job Description: Fannie May Confections Inc. / Ferrero in North Canton, OH, has multiple full-time Maintenance Technician (Second Shift) openings.

 

About the Role:

Fannie May Confections Brands, a division of Ferrero, is looking for Maintenance Technicians to assist in our maintenance department at our North Canton, OH, location. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. The Maintenance Technician will have responsibility for electrical repair and equipment/building maintenance. This position is for Second shift and Saturday overtime will be mandatory at times. There is a shift differential of 53 cents per hour.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Record parts and materials used, record repairs and maintenance performed.
  2. Inventory kept and managed of all spare parts (including pricing).
  3. Will insource parts as needed based on inventory levels.
  4. General upkeep of Maintenance Department.
  5. Clean, lubricate and adjust parts, equipment and machinery.
  6. Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  7. Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
  8. Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions. Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  9. Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
  10. Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
  11. Responsible to uphold and maintain the food safety and quality systems.

     

Who We Are Looking For:

Education or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED or 1-2 years of previous machine maintenance experience, electrical helpful
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics
  • Sufficient reading level to understand written requirements/instructions
  • Working knowledge of rigging methods used to move heavy equipment
  • Must possess valid driver's license

Physical:

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
