Stark State College Adjunct Instructor, Social Science in North Canton, Ohio

This part-time adjunct instructor position will provide instruction in traditional and non-traditional modalities; preparation of instructional materials; assessment of student performance, including electronic submission of Never Attends, Early Alerts, midterm grades, and final grades by the required dates; ability to work with different learning styles; ability to work effectively with a diverse student population. This position may teach face to face or online. This individual needs to be able to develop and implement innovative approaches to pedagogy. They must be able to work effectively with diverse student populations and complete required online instructor training as applicable. Previous teaching experience is preferred. For Adjunct Sociology- A Master's Degree in Sociology OR a Master's Degree (any discipline) and 18 graduate credit hours in Sociology required. For Adjunct Psychology- A Master's Degree in Psychology or related field OR a Master's Degree (any discipline) and 18 graduate credit hours in Psychology/related field required. For Adjunct Political Science- A Master's Degree in Political Science OR a Master's Degree (any discipline) and 18 graduate credit hours in Political Science OR a Juris Doctorate required. These behavioral competencies have been scientifically studied and have been shown to correlate with work outcomes.
