BFAIR DDS Residential Services Scheduler in North Adams, Massachusetts
The RSS is responsible for overseeing staff schedules and ensuring each DDS residential home operates within budgeted hours and meets the minimum ratio for each home. The RSS is also responsible for interviewing, placing, and monitoring staff hired as Relief and those hired through temporary staffing agencies such as Amerigas. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. Ability to complete all initial and ongoing background checks including but not limited to CORI, SORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, Everify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks (i.e., nursing). Valid US driver\'s license and ready access to a vehicle. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Must maintain all certification needed in the program including CPR, First Aid, START, and BFAIR Human Rights Training. May need to attend workshops, seminars or BFAIR functions as needed for job development. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. All employees who have access to health information whose confidentiality is protected by the HIPAA Privacy Rule are required by the Rule to receive training so that they have an understanding and knowledge of the Privacy Rule that corresponds to their job responsibilities and of the agency\'s policies and procedures that impact their jobs. Training on the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule and the agency\'s health information policies and procedures under the direction of the agency privacy officer is a pre-requisite for this position. 2. Treat each individual, co-worker, supervisor and others with the respect and dignity due every human being and adhere to the Department Developmental Services (DDS) Human Rights Standards and the Disabled Persons Protection Commission\'s (DPPC) Mandated Reporter Guidelines around physical and emotional abuse, including the timely reporting of violations. 3. Attend team meetings, staff meetings and other meetings as required. 4. Conduct staff meetings for Relief staff and agency staff as needed. 5. Oversight of evaluations and trainings for Relief staff and agency staff. 6. Complete schedules for each home, one month in advance and update as needed. 7. Oversight of bi-weekly timesheets, timely submission to Finance; including ensure accurate documentation of time recorded (i.e. PTO, PTO sick, etc.) 8. Schedules for each home will be maintained in SharePoint and any changes made to the schedules will be reflected immediately or by next business day. 9. Scheduling of overtime will be tracked and approved by COO or designee. 10. Responsible for approving time off requests for all Direct Support staff and House Managers within 24-72 hours of submission during the business week. 11. Track and maintain records of attendance; including call outs, tardiness for all hours scheduled including trainings 12. Complete payroll summary report after each pay period and submit to COO. 13. Be the lead person with temporary staffing agencies. Ensure vacancies are kept up to date and submitted to temporary agencies weekly. Interview temp staff candidates and follow-up as needed. Approve temporary staff timesheets and invoices. 14. Maintain DDS Residential staff list which includes both BFAIR staff and temporary staff. 15. Collaborate with COO to create a vacancy list to be submitted to Human Resources the first week of each month. 16. Adhere to agency/personnel policies, DDS, ABI, MFP and DPH regulations; follow emergency and call-in procedures.
