Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a Therapist for its Family House Norristown program in Norristown PA. Based on degree and certification, the salary range is $46,025- $55,530 annually with a sign on bonus of $1,500 after successful completion of 180 days of employment.
Salary Range: * Master's With License - $55,530 * Master's - $52,140 * Bachelor's With Certificate - $47,440 * Bachelor's - $46,025
Position Summary The Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapies to adults using evidence-based practices in addiction-substance use disorders, mental health diagnosis and other areas as required by program. The therapist will perform initial assessments, create treatment plans, provide individual and group counseling, and coordinate with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and resources based on individual needs. RHD employees working in programs within Montgomery County are required to provide proof of Covid vaccination. If not fully vaccinated, they must receive at least one shot in a two -dose series or a single dose in a one-dose series before beginning in-person shifts. Final doses must be received within 8 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities/Duties Therapy * Conduct intake assessments including recommendations for treatment. * Provide individual, group and family therapies to people with mental health and substance abuse issues. Caseload management * Maintain active caseload including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment. * Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals. * Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed. Administrative * Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines. Additional position duties include, but not limited to: * family engagement, * collaboration with community providers, * ongoing engagement with program participants * some programs may include on-call responsibilities. Treatment modalities utilized include: * Offering Trauma-informed care is at the core of what we do, and the ideal candidate must be able to engage with individuals from that perspective while also embracing harm reduction. * Stages of Change, * Motivational Interviewing, * Cognitive Therapy, * Dialectic Behavioral Therapy * Seeking Safety.
Required Experience 1 year of clinical experience (a minimum of 1,820 hours) in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.
Required Education A Master's Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field which includes a practicum in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field and 1 year of clinical experience (a minimum of 1,820 hours) in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.
Required Qualifications Preference given to applicants with experience in trauma-informed care and the use of evidence-based practices in clinical drug and al ohol work. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Driver's license required.
Program Summary Family House Norristown is a 9-bed residential treatment facility for pregnant women and women with children that are experiencing mental illness and chemical dependence. Special components address drug/alcohol addiction, mental illness, life skills, trauma, and parenting skills, as well as prevention and intervention for the children. Family House Norristown is one of only a few programs nationwide that works with mother and child in a residential treatment setting.
