Sr. Staff Electrical Launch Engineers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Develop innovative solutions and processes in manufacturing to scale the adoption of Electric Vehicles and transition to sustainability. Be part of a team of engineers and technicians to support and resolve high priority electrical issues at Rivians production line. Be the first point of contact for all vehicle electrical issues at the plant. Lead cross functional alignment to address manufacturing concerns. Work with all manufacturing partners and teams to increase quality through the complete product lifecycle. Influence future design direction and technology improvements with Product Engineering. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand, report and resolve issues. Collaborate with Electrical, Software, and Mechanical engineering teams to resolve and root cause problems and refine future designs. Work with Failure Analysis Labs to gather information and evidence. Collaborate with Quality Teams on process improvements and updates. Escalate and report on major line stoppages and issues, weekly manufacturing quality, issues status and risk assessments, and key support requirements and gating decisions.
RQMTS: Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or related and 3 years [or a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent as stated above and 5 years] of experience in any occupation involving manufacturing engineering. Experience must include working with product development in high volume manufacturing environment; Electromechanical system; Diagnostics tools Oscilloscope, DMM, and CANalyzer; and electrical, software, and mechanical issues.
