Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Secret Lead Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience in support of one of are large federal clients in Norfolk, VA. This candidate will be supporting and be responsible for formulating and designing robust software navigational systems as well as predicting and measuring the outcome and consequences of these designs, ensuring their effectiveness and reliability. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:

  Architect software systems: Independently design software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure design outcomes.

  Develop and validate software: Independently create and direct software testing procedures, programming, and documentation.

  Client consultation: Engage with clients to gather detailed information about program needs, objectives, functionalities, features, and input/output specifications.

  Maintenance consultation: Provide expert advice to customers on software system maintenance.

  Requirements analysis and documentation: Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflows, logical processes, hardware, operating systems, system interfaces, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.

  Feasibility and cost analysis: Assess and estimate the feasibility, costs, timelines, and compatibility with hardware and other software programs.

  Development planning: Utilize experience and judgment to develop and maintain detailed plans outlining steps and schedules for program development.

  Technology research and evaluation: Conduct research and evaluate software and hardware to support system development or utilization.

  User training: Provide training to end users or technical support staff on program usage.

. Software installation coordination: Manage the installation process of software systems.

Compensation: $110k to $125k per year annual salary.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related scientific discipline

  6+ years of experience coding and working within a C/C++ environment

  Experience working within other high level language groups (Python and C#)

  Demonstrated development experience within the following operating systems: Linux, Windows, Unix, or VxWorks

  Ability to be able to write test plans

  Active DoD Security Clearance

. Experience working within the DoD IAT Level 2 or 3 Certification
