RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Watershed is seeking a candidate to provide IT engineering and technical services and support for a broad assortment of system engineering and support functions. The candidate shall provide direct support services for overall and complete operation and maintenance of the Headquarters SECRET, NATO, Coalition and UNCLASSIFIED networks and associated hardware and software Systems Management of all USFF owned/managed Top Secret, Secret, Coalition and Unclassified networks.

  • Configure and deploy new and/or additional clients on the locally managed networks.

  • Application server administration and configuration including but not limited to: Single Sign On, Identity Management, Public Key Infrastructure Management, Cryptographic Log On, Server Replication, Backups and Load Balancing.

  • On-site operational and functional support for application end users and support personnel, for but not limited to application deployment, active directory management, data recovery services, client hardware and software support.

  • Maintain the system, network, and application security integrity including maintaining and updating the C&A packages and maintaining compliance with current IA policies.

  • Provide 24x7 on-call technical support as related to operational support of USFF.        

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Candidate must have an active Secret clearance

  • Candidate should have a minimum of one year experience working in a Microsoft Windows server and desktop requirement where they have done basic administration tasks such as applying patches, adding users to Active Directory and reviewed system event logs and collaborated with higher level administrators to rectify any security vulnerabilities. 

  • Candidate should have a minimum of one year experience applying Defense Information Systems Agency published STIG requirements in a Windows (preferred) and/or Linux environment.  Will collaborate with system administrators to assist in developing implementation guidance that provides compliance with DON compliance requirements.

  • Candidate needs to have experience in virtualization technology such as VMWare, HyperV, or RHEL.  Candidate should be able to follow the established procedures to deploy new virtual hosts and apply required security STIG’s in accordance with DON policy.

  • Candidate should be familiar with Computer Network Defense (CND) activities to include the monitoring of tools and logs to detect and mitigate threats and to assist with the restoration of an asset to its baseline security configuration.

  • Candidate should be familiar with DOD’s HBSS and be able to follow established procedures to monitor HBSS for intrusions, failures and to ensure that the clients are operational and reporting properly

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • If no formal education or certification then an additional six years of related experience required above the 1 year minimum         

  • OR

  • If a BA/BS in related field, then no additional experience required above the 1 year minimum

  • OR

  • If AA/AS in a related field, then two years of related experience required above the 1 year minimum

  • OR

  • If IAT I or higher two years of related experience required above the 1 year minimum

    Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:

  • Attending mandatory, annual training sessions

  • Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations

  • Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination

  • Attending recurring team meetings or huddles

  • Assisting in the development of new initiatives
