Job Title: Medical Assistant - Virginia Beach, Virginia

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will perform patient intake, including documenting medical history and vital signs, as well as phlebotomy, ancillary clinical kit testing, and specimen collection. Responsibilities include maintaining temperature logs, QA processes, and adhering to OSHA policies. You will also ensure accurate performance of EKGs, complete pharmaceutical prior authorizations, and handle phone triage for patient medication refills. Additional tasks include conducting Medicare Annual Wellness Visits, setting up, cleaning, and stocking exam rooms, and electronic input of patient lab/radiology orders. Other duties as assigned.

Hard Skills

  • Certification or Registration Required

  • Experience with triage and intake of patients to exam rooms preferred

  • Phlebotomy

  • EKG performance

  • Electronic health records documentation

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Work Environment

351 Holland Rd, Virginia Beach, VA. Shift: 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch. Patient volume: 70-85 patients per day across 3 providers.
