Description

The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc. is seeking an Integration Manager to lead all planning and scheduling efforts for integrating systems and technologies aboard unmanned naval vessels and preparing for demonstrations. This candidate will be responsible for integration of all combat systems and C4I systems aboard vessel and preparations for demonstrations. The right person will also be responsible for care, operation, and maintenance of all combat systems and C4I equipment permanently or temporarily installed in the vessel, including weapon systems, communications equipment, SATCOM systems, search and detection equipment, and command and control system.

Upon successful onboarding the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

  • Work with other vessel coordinators to schedule installation and demonstrations with vendors keeping all informed.

  • Coordinates vessel requirements limitations into the demonstration plan

  • Works with the vessel team to ensure the vessel can provide the required support during execution of the demonstration.

  • Develop Integration Plans for each technology operated on unmanned system

  • Oversee data collection efforts during event execution. Ensure availability and calibration of data collection instrumentation.

  • Work with the system developer to develop the demonstration plan to include the demonstration objectives, the data collection package and be responsible for after action reporting

  • Ensure adequate security for vessel IT systems.

  • Maintain for system IA plan and maintain system ATO IAW CCD.

  • Conducts CCD evaluation of C4I systems and coordinates efforts of NSWCCD Subject Matter Experts (SME) to provide advice/assistance when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in Navy maritime research and development programs.

  • Secret security clearance

  • Recent experience and knowledge of newer maritime technologies that may have applications to military missions.

  • Recent experience in advanced military command and control systems to include networking and incorporation of satellite systems

  • Knowledge of US Navy Authority to Operate (ATO) procedures for Information Assurance purposes.

  • Experience must include installation and integration of systems on a military platform. Navy electronics background required.

  • Recent experience in coordinating operations unmanned systems and their operations in the maritime environment is also required. This includes air, surface, and underwater systems and the ability to network systems information.

Desired Qualifications

  • DoD Top Secret clearance

  • BS/BA degree from accredited institution

This position is contingent upon ARA receipt of a contract and associated task funding.
