Nemean Solutions, LLC is looking for a General Maintenance Worker - DLA
The standards for personnel to be considered minimally qualified regarding appropriate combinations of education, training, and experience to Library Assistant:
POSITION SUMMARY
The General Maintenance Worker shall be responsible for performing routine maintenance duties including rough carpentry, painting, and basic equipment or facility repairs. All carpentry, electrical work, or simple plumbing repairs are performed under supervision by qualified personnel.
Reports to supervisor/lead daily to receive assignments.
Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
Start machines/equipment and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
Open clogged drains, repair leaks, and perform other simple plumbing jobs.
Maintain tools and maintenance equipment in working order.
Keep maintenance room, shop and company vehicles in neat condition.
Perform other related duties as required.

Must be able to work on site eight hours per day, Monday through Friday
The General Maintenance Worker assists with indoor/outdoor operation and high-level upkeep of a gov't facility environment with minimal disruptions of regular, ongoing NVFEL business during normal operation hours.
Performs tasks involving painting, pavement maintenance, building equipment maintenance, cleaning and inspection.
Operates forklift, skid steer and plow truck.
Responsible for and assists others in the operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical (HVAC/R, Compressors, etc...), electrical systems (UPS, Gen's., MCC's etc..) and life safety systems found in a modern, ISO-certified auto emission lab.
Must be willing/able to work outside in hot, cold conditions, and to lead/assist snow removal.
Monthly inspection of eyewash/shower stations
Demonstrated ability to work with MS Office
Successful experience working in a team environment
Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all team members and customers.
Enjoy maintaining facilities and keeping them in above average condition.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
Valid driver's license is required
Minimum of 3 years working in Facility/Bldg. or Apt./Commercial/Industrial Complex Operation and Maintenance.
Minimum of 2 years HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, or general mechanical maintenance experience.
Experience working with bobcats, fork trucks and plow trucks.
Must have knowledge of acceptable maintenance procedures and understanding of occupational safety and health regulations.
Must be a steady, reliable worker.
Must be able to read simple instructions and follow simple diagrams.
Must be able to perform simple tasks independently after being given specific instructions.
Must have general knowledge of simple equipment used in the building and maintenance trades.
Must have knowledge of acceptable maintenance procedures including occupational safety and health regulations.
Must be able to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to complete each task assignment.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as, have acceptable reference and background checks.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
It is mandatory that all Contractor personnel working onsite at federal facilities meet federal government security clearance standards. The Contractor shall submit security clearance information, for each employee, as required by current government identification card application procedures and future requirements as applicable
All employees must be authorized as acceptable under by the contracting officer for the prime contract under which this employee is working.
Candidate must pass a physical exam along with a thorough background investigation
Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours, 0900 to 1430, or as established by the RA. The facility is closed during local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings.
Place of Performance: The primary work location will be Job Location within Government facilities.
Travel: The applicant may be required to travel to other locations within CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of this contract.
