Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain healthcare applications and components including browser-based single page apps, micro frontends, microservices and orchestrated workflow. SpringBoot, Angular 9/10, GraphQL, Microsoft Azure, TypeScript and testing tools figure heavily into a typical day’s work

  • Participate in all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing and follow Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 2 weeks

  • Develop client applications components using Angular 9/10, Typescript, CSS and other software development tools and technologies per assigned tasks

  • Develop RESTful webservices using Azure Functions, Spring Boot, GraphQL and FHIR

  • Develop microservices using integration/collaboration concepts, technologies and patterns - such as REST, JSON, message queues, FHIR

  • Develop unit and integration tests for all written software programs and components. Follow test driven development approach

  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge transfers

  • Document and communicate design and application code specifications and details to other team members

  • Mentor junior developers on the team with programming standards

  • Adapt to new programming languages, methodologies, platforms and frameworks to support the business needs

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered

  • 12+ years programming and full software development life-cycle experience

  • 8+ years experience Angular 9/10 and any Java Script framework

  • 8+ years experience with web UI frameworks such as Angular and ReactJS

  • 8+ years web service API development experience

  • 1+ year experience working with Azure Functions, UITK, Terraform

  • Ability to perform assigned software development tasks using established standards and procedures without any supervision

  • Solid technical skills including solid understanding of software development methodologies and principles
