Robert Half is in the process of hiring an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Non-Profit field. As the Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk, your efforts will become an important part to the success of a company in the Non-Profit industry. Located in Nixon, Nevada, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position. Career growth and quick advancement makes this department a desirable place to work. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be required to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis

  • Implement full-cycle A/P

  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned

  • Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

  • Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

  • Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

  • Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

  • Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

  • Help with internal and external audits as required

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of invoices in a timely and accurate manner

• Conduct regular check runs to ensure payments are made promptly

• Efficiently manage and maintain accurate accounts payable records

• Reconcile account balances on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of financial data

• Employ data entry skills to keep up-to-date records of financial transactions

• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and MIP for accounting tasks

• Handle coding invoices with precision to ensure proper categorization of expenses

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.

• Extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.

• Experience in executing check runs in an efficient and timely manner.

• Expertise in coding invoices accurately and promptly.

• Strong data entry skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in invoice processing, ensuring all invoices are accurate and paid on time.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
