Schlumberger Field Trainee - Multiphase Flow Meter in Nisku, Canada

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting flow meter issues, performing QC on data, and working with our internal software. As a key member of our team, you will also be responsible for rigging up and down Vx meters, running power and communication, and updating meter configuration.
As a Multiphase Flowmeter Technician, you'll work with simple lab equipment such as centrifuges, hydrometers, and separation funnels to perform fluid sampling and updates to meter configuration. You'll work 12–14-hour shifts and work 21 days at a time.
The ideal candidate will have excellent mechanical and basic electrical & automation skills, and experience in flowback, drill out or well testing. Roles and Responsibilities
Able to work alone and troubleshoot problems in the field with low connectivity
Able to design, prepare and execute jobs as per customer test program
Able to perform Quality Control of data
Computer skills to work with business systems, internal software and generate job reports
Full Class 5 Driver license required
Willing to work with and transport dangerous goods (Radioactive, flammable) after training
Willing to use forklift and overhead crane
Good mechanical and basic electrical skills
Able to work under pressure, field conditions (including H2S environment)
Good interpersonal communication skills
Typical multiphase metering job would include:
Design meter size and configuration
Prepare equipment at the base (paperwork, hardware, function check, regulatory & HSE compliance)
Mobilize equipment and personnel to the well site
Rig up, configure, and flow through equipment
Take fluid samples
Able to use basic lab equipment such as centrifuge, hydrometers, separation funnels
Work 12-14h shifts
Rig down, demobilize to base and perform equipment maintenance and preparation for next job
Qualifications and Experience
Technical college diploma, graduated in the last three years.
Class 5 license with clean driving record.
Prior oilfield exposure to flowback, drillouts, well testing preferred.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
