Job Title: CNC Plasma Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Plasma Machine Operator to join our team. The role involves operating a CNC Plasma machine to cuts metal to length, loading and unloading the burn table with an overhead crane, using basic math for measurements, and working with basic hand and power tools. The Machine Operator will also stage items for shipping and receiving, tag and mark plates or cut pieces as per instructions, and maintain a clean and safe working area at all times.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CNC Plasma Machine to cut metal to specified lengths

• Load and unload the burn table using an overhead crane

• Use basic math to assist with measurements

• Work with basic hand and power tools

• Stage items for shipping and receiving accordingly

• Tag and mark plates or cut pieces as per instructions

• Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times

Essential Skills

• CNC Plasma Machine Operating Experience

• Ability to work a rotating day, afternoon, and night shift

• General labor experience

• Experience in general production and machining

• Material operating skills

• Mechanically inclined with familiarity with tools or small engines

• Basic math skills

• CNC toolpath setup and operation experience

• Previous CNC experience

• Experience with hand tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift operating experience

• Previous plate cutting experience

Work Environment

The work environment includes rotating shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, and 11:30 PM - 8:30 AM. The team is composed of 16 people working during the day and 4-5 people on other shifts. The company values a clean and safe workspace and emphasizes teamwork and collaboration.

This is a Contract position based out of Nisku, Alberta.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
