Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work with industry leading experts to execute data-driven protocol to develop innovative materials and predict material degradation for various power generation applications.

• Collaborate with Engineers and Scientists from across the Vernova Advanced Research Center and business segments, to advance the energy transition.

Required Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a full-time Ph.D. degree program in Materials Science, or related discipline

• Knowledge in pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, pytorch, pymatgen

• Experience with Python programing, Github

• U.S. citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Provisions.

• Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.

• Minimum GPA 3.0 / 4.0 scale.

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience with high throughput experiments/computations and/or automatous lab.

• Strong dedication to a career in technology and passion for supporting and leading the energy transition.

The pay range for this position is $1,000-$2,000 USD weekly. The specific weekly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.

GE Vernova provides travel reimbursement and a housing stipend for qualified interns.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
