WATTS Technical Engineer in Ningbo, Switzerland

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Pre-sale technical support for Watts HVAC valve, product selection and recommendation, and solution plan for customers.

  • Product management for business, Manage the entire product lifecycle, including product release, maintenance, and exit, Monitor the market and develop competitive analysis, Define the vision of the product

  • Designing new products, optimize existing product, ensures quality in a product’s design for usability, reliability, functionality, marketability, and manufacturability.

  • Supports the organization’s intellectual property strategy by documenting data and independent, unique and patentable ideas that results from experimentations and concept generation activities.

  • Follow Watts process, lead the project or as team member, whether a task distributor or be a task owner, all works assigned need to be done in a timely, diligent, safe, and professional manner.

  • Making 2d & 3D drawings, BOM, QC plan, preparing first sample, test & measure (sometime ) samples, validation of products according to the process .

  • Complete the tasks assigned by senior engineer or department head.

  • Contributes to assembly and maintenance of the Design History File (DHF).

  • Follows WATTS Global Product Development System.

  • Need Business trip, but not too often like a sales

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor or above, majoring in HVAC , mechanical engineering.

  • MANAGEMENT: N/A

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor/ master’s degree in HVAC, mechanical engineering, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.

  • 5-10 years’ relevant experience in the HVAC valve industry: in the technical department, or application department, or product management, 2 kinds of experience is better , if have all 3 experience, that is a plus

  • Experience in a Phase-Gate development process.

  • Experience in designing production equivalent rapid prototypes.

  • Proficient in 3D CAD software (Inventor or Solidworks preferred). Understanding of CAE tools (FEA, CFD, etc.)

  • English speaking and writing is a must
