Join us as our new Master Student in Microbial Fermentation Development
Welcome to the HMO Research & Development at Novonesis
You will be part of an expert team in microbial fermentation within the HMO Research & Development department of Novonesis. Our fermentation team located in Nienburg focuses on small-scale fermentation optimization and strain characterization.
The HMO R&D consists of scientists and technicians with different expertise such as molecular biology, fermentation, analytics, chemistry and systems biology. You will work in a diversified field within an interdisciplinary R&D, and you will have the opportunity for personal and professional development. In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Planning and conducting experiments for optimization of microbial fed-batch fermentations
Evaluation of process data to find optimal cultivation conditions and presentation of results within the team.
Support the team in daily lab routine.
Cooperate with colleagues on site and in other locations of Novonesis.
Potentially relevant experience:
Student of Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, or a similar field in Life Science Engineering with a completed bachelor’s degree
Hands-on experience in sterile working and microbial cultivation techniques
Knowledge of fermentation technology, process control and object-oriented programming
You are highly motivated, self-organized, eager to learn and enjoy working in a team.
Fluent in English, good knowledge of German is a plus.
