Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.
This Opportunity:
We are hiring for Full-Time and Part-Time PSW/Support Service Attendant/Health Care Aide roles in the Niagara Region.
Starting wage: $22.52 per hour (includes $3.00/hr temporary wage enhancement from the Ontario government).
Paid travel time and mileage.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable vehicle.
Duties Include:
Assisting clients in their homes with non-medical activities of daily living as per individual service plans:
Personal care
Dressing/grooming
Rising/retiring
Incontinence care (upon training)
Meal preparation and feeding
Range of motion exercises
Light housekeeping
Lifts and transfers (upon training)
Performing duties professionally, respecting clients’ dignity, privacy, and health and safety.
Working multiple shifts (days, evenings, weekends, holidays) across various Niagara Region locations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults, or caregiving (asset but not required).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Physical demands self-analysis required upon hire.
Flexibility to work regularly scheduled hours.
