Within the Product Engineering (PE) board area, the mission of ECS Delivery organization is to pave the path for the future SAP by delivering end-to-end Managed services experience during a customers cloud transformation journey. We strive to provide a spectrum of cloud deployment options for our customers with our own infrastructure, our partners and through public cloud infrastructures.

Technical Service Manager (TSM) is a critical role from ECS Delivery organization, who acts as a trusted advisor in the safeguarding and optimization of customer s investments into SAP Enterprise cloud services (ECS). TSM governs customer relationship management from a technical perspective, while advocating for the customer and bringing the power of ECS to enrich customer experience. TSM will work as a team with Customer Delivery Managers to serve and delight ECS customers, by providing quality services to satisfy their needs and resolving technical complexities throughout their entire lifecycle. To increase our delivery strength of TSM role, ECS Delivery organization is looking for talented people managers with prior experience in customer facing and technology areas.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a people manager, you are primarily responsible for the management and advancement of a team with technical background. Key expectation and tasks of your role are

  • Accountability : Manage customers and resource in an efficient way. Ensure business critical and innovative results. Manage strategic partnerships with customers. Hold yourself accountable for your team to surpass expectations and customer satisfaction.

  • Delivery - Financial, delivery and operational Excellence for unit and team

  • Complexity : Handle projects of high risks/complexity by day to day decisions for a team. Translate complex business problems in activities and action plans.

  • Experience : Deep managerial, SAP technical, infrastructure and strong project management skills.

  • Communication : Represent SAP to customers; find common ground for customer/team/project cooperation

  • Creating the Future - Build action plans and make operational decisions on policies, tactics, resources which are critical to organization s business success. Ensure delivery against strategy of organization.

  • Innovation - Create an environment that encourages customer-focused innovation and risk taking.

  • People Engagement - Engage in continuous, professional, open and honest conversations. Set challenging development goals. Measure and reward based on performance. Take decisive action and empower others to do the same. Actively seeks to coach and help with personal development. Understands how to give and receive feedback. Regularly offers feedback to help others develop.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

  • Bachelors degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Information management

  • Strong customer service focus and C level communication.

  • Planning, controlling and monitoring an organizational unit.

  • Facilitating and leading initiatives/programs which includes effective interaction with senior management.

  • Solid know-how on various SAP Technologies. SAP products and Hyperscalers.

  • Process affinity and strong process orientations

  • Demonstrate relationship management competences

  • Experience in managing cross-cultural teams or individuals

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate and escalate Issues.

  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English

  • Execution of Appraisal sessions, conflict management, motivation of an own team.

  • Proven decision-making framework applied within own area of responsibility

  • Excellent technical project management skills to handle the projects and issues efficiently.

  • Ability to work under pressure and constantly add value to customer and within organization

  • Capability to continuously acquire new knowledge and latest technologies in an independent, proactive way.

  • Preferred skills

  • Masters degree in Management.

  • PMP / ITIL knowledge and/or certification

  • Certification in SAP technology , Hana Database, Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure and Google)

  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience in SAP Basis/HANA; Project management experience in major activities like OS/DB migrations, upgrades, Datacenter migration etc.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 5 plus years of IT industry experience in SAP technology

  • Experience in people management role

  • Excellent customer facing and technical project management skills are required.
