Potential, Inc. Special Education Paraprofessional in Newtown, Pennsylvania

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!  This is considered an entry-level position. We welcome new graduates, career changers, and experienced candidates to apply.  We provide in-depth paid training that prepares you to work with students.

Position: Paraprofessional

Location: our private school in Newtown, Bucks County

Part-time Schedules: 8:30 am - 3 pm (Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday Friday)

Full-Time Schedule: 8:30 am - 3 pm (Monday - Friday)

Part-Time Pay: $17 - $20 base rates (additional pay offered for experienced candidates!)

Full-Time Pay: $30,000 base salary (additional pay offered to experienced candidates!)

WORKING AS A PARAPROFESSIONAL

Paraprofessionals at Potential Inc. are school employees who work under the supervision and guidance of special education teachers at our private school in Newtown, Bucks County. As a paraprofessional, you'll work one-on-one with students (ages 6 - 21) to help with communication, behavior, activities of daily living, vocational skills, community-based instruction, social skills, and academics from your student's individualized education plan (IEP). Our students have struggled in other programs, have challenging behavior, or have an additional medical diagnosis that impacts their learning. Your work helps improve your students' quality of life!

Working as a Paraprofessional is a great fit for those interested in a career in teaching, occupational therapy, speech therapy, childcare, healthcare, or psychology and who thrive in a one-on-one setting where you can see the difference you make in your students' lives every day!

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WILL YOU GAIN FROM THIS ROLE?

After training, you'll be able to work with children of varying levels of need, implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs following each client's individualized treatment plan, receive and incorporate feedback from your client's Special Education Teachers and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in future sessions, maintain client safety and confidentiality, and accurately document client sessions by collecting data, writing session notes, and completing service logs (timesheets).
