Quality Analyst (Newton, NJ): Taste and smell fruit and vegetable juice, juice concentrate, and puree products to ensure that flavors meet specifications or to select samples with specific characteristics. Maintain records of testing results as required by state and other governing agencies. Conduct standardized tests on food and beverage products to ensure compliance with safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory requirements. Assist in research and development, production technology and monitoring quality assurance standards. Calibrate quality control and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Investigate customer complaints, use root cause analysis, and assist with corrective measures for quality assurance. Compute moisture or salt content, percentages of ingredients, formulas, and other product factors, using mathematical and chemical procedures.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Food Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience as Quality Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst, Quality Assurance Technician, or related position. Experience monitoring quality assurance policies and procedures for food and beverage production. Experience analyzing quality performance and trends using statistical methods and tools. Experience planning and conducting quality control audits and inspections for food and beverage products.
