Statement of Purpose
Provides spiritual and pastoral care in a nonsectarian manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/License: Bachelors Degree is a minimum requirement. Must possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Pastoral education and/or Clinical Pastoral Education or training in other caring ministry strongly preferred. Experience/Skills/Abilities: Ecclesiastical endorsement. Vital spiritual life. Desire to serve. Demonstrated abilities of compassion and benevolence. Willingness and ability to work collaboratively with other members of the health care team and with members of the public. Demonstrated understanding of how to be present with ill or dying patients, including the ability to support the patient and family move toward wholistic healing. Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness. Demonstrated ability to initiate pastoral relationships with persons from diverse spiritual and religious traditions. Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships, including listening and verbal communication.
