Job Title: Service Electrician

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Service Electrician capable of troubleshooting and solving problems independently. The ideal candidate should be driven, honest, self-starting, and able to mentor apprentices effectively. Responsibilities include providing verbal and written reports of job status, managing equipment and supplies, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and manners. Candidates must possess an excellent driving record, a valid driver's license, and be proficient with Microsoft software including Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and Adobe PDFs. The ability to follow directions with limited supervision and a commitment to quality and safety is essential.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Newport News, Virginia.

Work Environment

• Electricians are required to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, high humidity, etc.)

• Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.

• Lifting and carrying heavy objects, up to 75lbs, will be required.

• Ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, stairs, ramps, platforms and in/out of truck.

• Entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a keyboard.

• Sitting or kneeling for long periods of time may be required

• Sometimes moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet to enter confined spaces.
