Job Description Volunteers of America, The Homestead at Rochester is looking for a Director of Healthcare Servicesto join its team. This RN Director role would be over the Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. The role of the Director of Healthcare Services is to assess, plan, implement and coordinate the clinical care program to ensure the highest quality of care is maintained at all times. Core Responsibilities: Partner with the Resident Director and IDT members Instructs staff on various federal, state and facility's regulations, policies and procedures; monitors compliance. Accepts responsibility for the facility in the absence of the Resident Director. Schedules, directs and records regular department meetings. Participates in the preparation of the operating and capital budget for the Nursing Department. Monitors department expenditures to budget. Oversees and directs day-to-day functions of the nursing staff Review resident care plans Serve on various quality control committees Staff development Resolve resident and family concerns Work where you feel at home. Demonstrates knowledge of long-term care, gerontology, rehabilitative, and medical-surgical nursing care, Antibiotic Stewardship, Infection Prevention and Infection Control. Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements for Assisted Living and Memory care. Understanding of current Infection Prevention and Control and OSHA guidelines.
