THE OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Workplace Protection Specialist is an individual contributor position with the Restaurant Support Center Global Security and Resilience Team, responsible for supporting the protection of our RSC assets to include employees, property and information. The Senior Workplace Protection Specialist supports RSC protection and safety through delivery of health and safety programs, supporting and implementing travel risk management programs domestically, and maintaining RSC Workplace Violence Protection Program (WVPP).This role addresses employee concerns; supports investigations, conducts training, consults on safety risk incidents, ensures consistent access control, interior and exterior roves, and emergency/crisis response.This individual must deliver excellent customer service, while maintaining ongoing action readiness for incidents related to life safety and crisis response, while maintaining the standards of a 24/7 Asset Protection Team.This individual must also maintain accurate reporting on incidents which arise at the RSC and will participate in RSC investigations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Ensure employees, vendors and visitors follow safety and security related policies and procedures while at the RSC

  • Lead RSC response to emergency situations; including developing and implementing training and crisis preparedness with the Manager, and ensuring response to safety threats (such as active aggressor situations)

  • Serve as primary consultant for domestic travelers on the matters of safety and security, to include assembling journey management plans and basic threat assessments.

  • Partner with Workplace Violence Program Manager to coordinate and conduct on-site training and investigations.Serve as initial intake of RSC workplace violence concerns; log threats and reports in accordance with CA state requirements.

  • Organize and train RSC employees on First Aid/AED while keeping accurate records and training materials

  • Gather information and provide threat and risk analysis for situational awareness reports; as well as accurately write and submit necessary reporting and follow-up on RSC Safety and Security Incidents and Investigations.

  • Support and supervise the development and coaching of the 24/7 contingent security staff as needed.

  • Lead the building Safety Team and ensure all members are trained on building emergency response.

  • Ensure company assets are safe and secure by conducting roves in regional RSC locations to assess and appropriately respond to safety and/or security issues and controlling access to the building by verifying credentials and assigning visitor access.

  • Respond as first and supporting responder to RSC safety and medical incidents.

  • Partner with RSC teams to accurately plan and prepare for events, visitors, and access.

  • Support Global Security and Resilience Special Events, may be off-site, requiring department support

  • Identify and assess safety related incidents which may include but are not limited to, building integrity and life safety issues, including assisting in the completion of RSC Safety Security Assessments twice per year

  • Maintain detailed knowledge and preparedness to use facility equipment (to include areas such as: Fire extinguishers, AED's, surveillance equipment and programs etc.)

  • Liaise with building management to ensure compliance requirements with safety and security training and preparedness, by building business relationships while demonstrating a thorough understanding of each function within the RSC.

  • Communicate with business partners, external partners and local law enforcement/emergency responders.

  • Assist RSC Asset Protection Manager in disseminating intelligence and logging initial response and investigations related to Executive Protection.

  • Provide guidance and operational oversight in the absence of the RSC Asset Protection Manager.

  • Lead and support special projects based on the needs of the business.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 3 to 5 years of safety/security experience in a corporate setting

  • 1 to 3 years of Asset Protection/Security Investigations

  • CPR and first aid training certified

  • Ability to respond with composure in high pressure situations

  • Strong Decision-Making capability

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Deliver excellent customer service to all employees by greeting, engaging and assisting employees, vendors and visitors

  • Ability to interact with individuals from all levels within the organization

  • Basic computer skills including but not limited to MS office and web-based programs

  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including Holidays and Weekends, to support the operations of a 24/7 security team.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $67,000 to $91,000 annually. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
