THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Director of Field HR, you will develop and execute the overall HR Field Strategy to address business challenges, growth expectations, and local operational needs based on a deep understanding of broader organizational goals. This role will partner broadly across the organization to ensure cohesive and functional people practices and strategies for optimal support of operational teams. This role will lead a team of strategic HR business partners to ensure localized talent agendas, while ensuring consistent delivery of people processes across the US business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Align talent strategy and field leadership succession planning with the company business objectives by making recommendations, decisions and empower the business to develop their talent needed to support future growth.

Ensure consistent delivery of core HR processes through close partnership with the operational business leaders; inclusive of annual performance reviews, compensation planning, talent reviews focused on succession planning, employee growth and development, and organizational health priorities.

Drive and foster collaboration with Restaurant Support Center and Field HR teams on people initiatives; through project resource allocation, stakeholder management, the development of initiatives & programs (from design, communication cascade, implementation, and delivery), and facilitation of feedback on HR initiatives.

Analyze, monitor, and utilize internal/external HR metrics and trends (including data on retention, employee experience, employee relations cases, promotion rates, etc.) to make data driven decisions and create systemic improvements recommendations with partnership with HR centers of excellence, in order to reframe challenges and identify solutions.

Champion Chipotle's culture and operations of view across other key stakeholders in the organization (including but not limited to Operations, Technology, Legal, Communications) by representing the Field People Experience Team in cross-functional program, process and project management.

Partner with Operations and business leaders to consult on HR-related matters (such as workforce planning, cost competitiveness, performance management, talent & development management) to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.

Promote an organizational climate based on Chipotle's Values, to deepen the implementation of these values and strengthen employee engagement. Drive diversity, equity and inclusion within the organization, personally and programmatically.

Lead the field HRBP team (3-4 direct reports, $5B in revenue), coach HRBPs business partners in career development, leadership, and management practices.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university preferred

10+ years of work experience; 7+ years of HR experience; 4+ years of HR leadership experience; previous hospitality experience preferred and/or support of hourly workforce experience.

Must have strong, consultative experience and project management skills with business leaders/teams within an organization.

Proven ability to productively influence others and led a team of HR Professionals

Ability to drive and manage multiple projects to completion with desired outcomes, while also having the ability to be flexible and pivot based on our strategic growth initiatives

Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; must be willing to travel within market as needed up to 50%

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $144,000 - $214,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
