Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs; Participate\ in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including receiving and drying as well as shoveling; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment by laying pipe, walking length of pipe to puncture holes at set intervals, clear and maintain ditches, operate well motors and pivots, drain excess water from fields, monitor fields to ensure adequate water supply; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as sprayer, combine, cotton picker, backhoe, mower, track hoe, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as soybeans, rice, corn, cotton; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employers fields, load employers crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Change combine head; Rough fields using\ hand tools to remove undesirable plants, trash, etc.; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; form levees; Set and remove levee gates, put in spillways; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items and spoiled grain; Operate augurs and conveyers; Monitor moisture levels and prepare scale tickets; Organize operational areas and shops; speak and understand English.
