Job Description

TheWaterpark Manageris responsible for the administration, operation, and direct management of the indoor and outdoor waterpark. They oversee the safety and cleanliness of the park to ensure a positive experience for guests and associates; provide products and services Beyond Expectations to ensure guest satisfaction; and create a culture surrounding safety, fun, and growth opportunities to aid in associate retention.\ \ Essential Functions\

  • Responsible for all waterpark associates\' recruiting, selecting, hiring, orienting and training, assigning, scheduling, evaluating, supervising performance and carrying out disciplinary action as needed in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws.
  • Oversee cost controls and labor scheduling for all aspects of waterpark operations, to optimize safety, service standards and maximize profitability.
  • Generate revenue through engineering, pricing strategy and other incentive and marketing techniques directed by the owner.
  • Assist with waterparks\' plan, strategies, actions and executing them effectively with waterpark associates.
  • Carry out waterpark marketing, advertising and promotional activities and campaigns and when applicable, get proper approvals from owner to ensure it meets Resort standards.
  • Walk entire waterpark floor throughout shifts checking on safety concerns, guest satisfactions and lifeguard performances.
  • Understand how to open and close all waterpark venues, and the ability to perform each position in the front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and safe and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
  • Oversee all operations within the waterpark venues.
  • Maintain the high standards set forth by safety procedures through leading by example and supporting all staff members.
  • Fully understand and comply with all Federal, State, County and Municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of waterpark outlets/venues, associates and guests.
  • Serve as a focal point for audits and inspections by outside agencies.

{=html} <!-- --> - Ensure lifeguards and EMT\'s are performing to the standards set forth by management team. - Continually strive to develop, coach, and train staff in all areas of managerial, service quality, safety/sanitation and professional development. - Ensure all supervisors of all waterpark venues/outlets are fully trained and have the ability to handle day-to-day operations in your absence. - Ensure that all equipment is kept safe, clean and kept in excellent working condition through monitoring of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections and by following the equipment\'s\' preventative maintenance programs. - Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and safe, efficient operations are met da ily. - Keep an open line of communication with all departments and keep them posted on what is happening in the department.

\ Required License/Certifications\ \ Lifeguard Certification, Instructor Certification, and Certified Pool Operator Certification.\ \ Previous Experience Required\ \ Minimum 2 years experience in management, waterpark or aquatics departments with progressive managerial and leadership responsibilities required. Minimum 2 years experience in management of large staff covering multiple shifts and facilities preferred. Previous lifeguard experience preferred.\ \ Physical Demands\ \ The Associate must be able to work in a stationary position for long periods of times. Must be able to frequently move throughout the resort in order to have access to all outlets/venues in a large resort. Must be able to frequently work in outdoor hot/humid weather conditions as well as indoor warm/humid environments. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds of force, and/or frequently move up to 10 pounds of force, or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.\ \ Competencies:\

Must be able to frequently communicate and develop rapport with guests and associates and have a working relationship with the resort management team.
